Community Guidelines

Last updated: 5 October 2026

iFP Network™ exists for peer learning, professional exchange and discussion of concepts, practices and experiences in Financial Planning. These guidelines keep the community useful, respectful and clearly educational. They apply to everything members share — in webinars, messages, testimonials, resources and the WhatsApp community.

1. Keep it educational

  • Share concepts, frameworks, experiences and learning — not advice.
  • Do not give or ask for investment advice, stock or fund tips, or recommendations on specific securities, products or portfolios.
  • Make clear when you are sharing a personal view; it represents you, not iFP Network.

2. No solicitation

  • Do not use the network to market your services or products, recruit clients or distribute promotional material.
  • Disclose any relevant conflict of interest when you present or recommend learning material.

3. Protect client and member privacy

  • Never share information that could identify a client. Discuss situations only in general, anonymised terms.
  • Members' contact details are private. Do not collect, share or use other members' details for marketing.
  • Members-only recordings, resources and discussions stay within the community — do not repost them elsewhere.

4. Be respectful

  • Treat every member with courtesy, whatever their experience, firm or designation.
  • Disagree with ideas, not people. Harassment, discrimination and personal attacks are not allowed.
  • Respect authors' and speakers' work: credit sources and do not copy material without permission.

5. Stay within the rules

Follow the laws and regulations that apply to you and your profession, including those of SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA and your professional bodies. Membership of iFP Network does not change any regulatory obligation you have.

6. Raising concerns

If something shared on the network concerns you, tell the admin through the Contact page. The admin may remove content and, where needed, suspend or end a membership under the Terms of Use.
