Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
iFP Network™ is a voluntary, members-only educational and knowledge-sharing community. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the website, apply to join, or take part as a member, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
1. What we collect
- Google sign-in. When you verify with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo and the time of verification. We never receive or store your Google password.
- Your application and member profile. Full name, contact email, mobile number, city, optional photo, professional categories, registration / membership number, firm, designation, years of experience, practice areas, savings & investment streams, professional bio and any certificates you attach, together with the date, time and version of the disclaimers you accepted.
- Member activity. Messages you send to other members inside the site, testimonials you submit, and changes you request to your profile.
- Enquiries. The enquiry type, name, email address and message you send through the Contact page.
- Cookies. Only strictly necessary session cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
2. Why we use it
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- To review membership applications and confirm that applicants are financial planning professionals.
- To run the members-only area: Resources, webinars, the member directory, messaging and your profile.
- To contact you about your application, your membership and your enquiries.
- To keep the community safe, enforce the Community Guidelines and meet legal obligations.
3. Who can see it
- Other members see only your public profile (name, photo, professional details and bio) after the admin approves it. Your mobile number and email address are masked and never shown to other members.
- The network admin sees your full application and profile in order to review and manage membership.
- Service providers that run the website for us, only to provide their service: Google (sign-in and webinar recordings on Google Drive), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (email delivery). Their servers may be located outside India.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to share information.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your application while it is under review and your profile while you are a member. When an application is not approved or a membership ends, we delete the record on request, or once it is no longer needed for the purposes above. Unsubmitted application drafts can be discarded at any time.
5. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction. Members can view and update their details at any time under My Profile; changes appear on the public profile after admin approval.
- Erasure and withdrawal of consent. You can ask us to delete your application or membership record. Withdrawing consent ends your membership.
- Grievances. Write to the network through the Contact page (enquiry type “Other”). We will respond to requests about your personal data within a reasonable time.
6. Security
Access to the admin area is restricted to approved administrator Google accounts. Session cookies are signed and encrypted. Certificates you upload are visible only to you and the admin; profile photos are shown only to signed-in approved members. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
7. Children
The website and membership are intended for adult professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
